In-home Relaxed Maternity Photo Session

Carmen and Gustavo were expecting their baby boy during Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown. Carmen had a high risk pregnancy and had to be off work for almost 8 months. I photographed them at their home in Whitby, Ontario during winter time, just before Christmas. It was a cold day outside, but definitely very warm and cozy day with this soon to be parents.

To me it is very tough to stay at home for the entire pregnancy, but Carmen was so energetic and happy all these past months. She made herself busy decorating and styling her newborn's room. Her husband helped painting the walls in green and hand painted them with mountains to give a woody look to their baby's nursery. Carmen also hung up some of her own oil color wall arts on the walls.

She also spent time reading books about newborn hoping to help her when baby arrives knowing no family member can give them a hand with quarantine situation.

Just one month before baby is born, she enjoyed meeting her friends virtually for her baby shower.

It was such a pleasure to photograph this in- home cozy maternity session.
