11 Favourite Books for Toddlers Age 2-3 Years Old

Children enjoy reading books and listening to stories. Books gives them lots of chance to grow their imagination.

When someone book a family photo session with me, I always suggest to bring a book or two to the session because I know kids love it.

Being a parent of a toddler myself, I would have always loved to know the most famous books that my daughter might enjoy. I always make sure I invest on good quality or better to say proper content so that my child learns from it as much as she enjoys it. I thought I share the 11 of her favourite books that are suitable for age 1-3 years old.

  1. We are going on a bear hunt

There were days that I had to read this few times per day. Repetitive texts that easy for kids to memorize and also has a rhythmic sound in it that makes it very easy and enjoyable to read.

2. If you happened to have a Dinosaur

First of all all kids at this age likes Dinosaurs and honestly it does not matter if it is a boy or a girl. The book is full of colorful pictures and the story is filled with imagination.

3. Corduroy

Classic and loving story of a teddy bear a girl who loves him.

4. Don't push the button

Interactive book that my daughter enjoy involving in the activity every single time we read it.

5. a potty for me

Very simple story with big bright colored pictures. I started to read this when we bought her a new potty so she really connected with the book.

6. in my heart: the book of feelings

Absolutely lovely! ( even I can say as an adult). The writer expressed different feeling in very cute and understandable way for a toddler to understand. The design of the book is also great. My daughter loves it.

7. Little Blue truck’s Christmas

She loves this one Christmas or no Christmas season. She always enjoy me reading it.

8. The Very Sleepy Bear

I think because kids like animals, they might like this one too. The book story is appropriate for children more than 3 years old also.

9. P is for Potty

  1. A book from Elmo’s story about potty and because all children love Elmo, you can guess the rest. Another bonus is the book has lots of activities for kids. (Life -the Flap Book )

    10. Olivia

Minimalistic illustrations but filled with familiar and sometimes not familiar daily activities of a child. In my opinion, it has a very smart and artistic writing.

    11. The Snowy Day

The simple joy of a child in a snowy day is a great story for children who just saw one or two winter.
